Richard Hargroves

Richard Hargroves has over 40 years’ experience in the global drinks and hospitality industry, with a proven track record in launching, operating and elevating celebrated venues, brands and hospitality projects.

His career spans landmark roles including the opening of TGI Fridays’ flagship Covent Garden site and co-founding the award-winning LAB Bar, one of London’s most influential cocktail bars and closely associated with the creation of the world-famous Pornstar Martini.

Richard has developed and operated hospitality projects across the UK and internationally, including New York, Hong Kong, Tenerife, Ibiza, Cape Town and Cyprus. He has also worked with leading global drinks brands including Bacardi, Jack Daniel’s, Grey Goose, Bombay Sapphire and Woodford Reserve.

Today, Richard is Operations Director for an ambitious new single malt distillery on Scotland’s west coast and serves as Brand Ambassador for Camikara Rum and Indri Single Malt.

As co-founder of 11 Parishes Rum, Richard brings deep commercial experience, operational delivery, brand-building knowledge and a powerful network across the premium drinks and hospitality sectors.

The Founders Reserve is the first rum ever to blend stocks from Foursquare, Mount Gay, Hopewell and St Nicholas Abbey, aged a minimum of eleven tropical years in ex-Bourbon, ex-Cognac and ex-Sherry casks, bottled in Barbados at 52% ABV.

One hundred bottles are reserved for founding members. The remaining 180 bottles will be gifted to selected high-end bars, future partners and key industry contacts, a showcase for the brand and the wider portfolio we are launching.
